Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia along with insertion of telescope like instrument to uterus through cervix to examine the endometrial cavity for any abnormalities. The procedure is performed to identify the reason for abnormal bleeding and fibroid tumors.

Dilation and Curettage (D&C) is a procedure for enlarging of cervix and removing part of uterus lining.  It is performed to remove large mass of lining tissue for the purpose of treatment or for diagnosis. It is usually performed after miscarriage and internal uterine bleeding
